How do I find basic information about an Illinois lawyer?

In Lawyerport, you can search for Illinois lawyers two ways: Quick Search and the Directory Advanced Search.

USING QUICK SEARCH
The Quick Search is located in the upper right hand corner of the top navigation bar.

Step 1 Enter the lawyer name in the Quick Search field
Note: Quick Search is an exact-match search and will only find exact matching results

Step 2 Click the Search button

Step 3 Select the lawyer from the Search Results
Note: You may use the filters on the left to narrow down the Search Results.

DIRECTORY ADVANCED SEARCH
You can perform an advanced search from the Directory tab.
Note: Advanced Search uses stemming and will find results that are partial matches as well as exact matches. Exact matches will be listed first.

Step 1 Click on the Directory navigation tab

Step 3 Click on the Add button in the Practice Areas field

Step 4 Choose the practice area(s) you wish to search from the appropriate categories and sub categories in the list
Note: You may select all Sub Categories by clicking on "Select All" at the top of the Select Sub Categories field. Any Sub Category that you select will be displayed in the My Areas of Practice field.

Step 5 Click the Save button
